Diploma in Materials & Logistics Management
DMLM Course has been specially designed for the participants who wish to pursue their career in materials management. The materials management profession is under constant evolution – the challenge is how to establish strategic sources or to manage inventory, or logistics sector to satisfy the current rising trend in the market demand coupled with supply constraints.
The materials managers have their task cut out today to maintain the customer service level by re-balancing supply with demand. This necessities building a multi-disciplinary knowledge in materials management to rigorously monitor the adaptability of the fast-changing supply side at the macro level. With this end in view, the participants will be taught the concept of integrated materials management, interrelationship among various departments, flow of information and documents fo rmake a seamless journey from planning and provisioning to sourcing, storing and operations.
The sessions on logistics will help students identify modern warehousing with extensive use of automation, economizing transportation cost through consolidation and outsourcing. Adequate exposure to statistical tools and information technology will help enhance the skill set of the materials management professionals to showcase their leaning in a structured and systemic manner.

Who Should Participate
All working personnel in the field of supply chain management who do not have structured professional exposure may avail themselves this opportunity to update their domain knowledge. The freshers, who aspire to build their career in techno-commercial jobs related to Purchase, Stores, Inventory Management, Warehousing and Logistics may also participate.Classes:

Study Materials for all subjects will be provided by IIMM. Students can also use the Library Facility of the Institute.Assessment:
Assessment will be done through an online written examination to be held at the end of each semester. Due weightage will be given to internal assessment, which will be done by the faculty based on attendance, participation in classroom discussion, case studies, group task/group discussions and performance in viva-voce. Students will also be given due exposure to gain practical knowledge byway of Plant/Warehouse visit.
Eligibility:
Graduates/Diploma holders in any discipline or Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) preferably with 2 years’ work experience.
Fees:
The total course fee including study materials and Examination is Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand only) payable in two equal instalments.
Mode of Payment:
Course Fee is payable by A/c payee cheque/ Draft in favour of ”Indian Institute of Materials Management”. Payment by NEFT will be a preferred option. Cash payment is also acceptable.
